Cheryl, a native New Yorker, has a strong background in customer service, training and leadership. She had a lengthy career with American Express before transitioning to the non-profit world of animal welfare with the Jacksonville Humane Society. Cheryl was part of the start-up team for the shelter's original "Pooch Park" and later managed activities at the dog park at Julington Creek Animal Walk. Cheryl has dedicated her personal time by volunteering for local animal rescue organizations and being an ambassador for homeless animals. She currently shares her home with two rescue dogs, a bird and her husband Skip
Duncan helped construct the park in 2003, and served as its first groundskeeper from 2003 to 2004, when he left for a managerial position. He returned to the park in 2011. Shown above is Duncan with his dogs Princess the greyhound mix, Nicky the chow mix, and Molly the maltese.

Stephanie and her husband, along with their two fur-kids Bear and Izzy, have been loyal Dog Wood Park Members for several years so it was a natural fit when she joined our team as Assistant Manager. Stephanie has extensive experience in working in the medical field, both human as well as canine!
Along with her two talented Maltese mixes, Eddie and Julian, Norma is active in canine sports and trains and competes in Flyball, Disc Dog, and Agility. She also volunteers with several small dog rescue organizations and is one of the founders of Paws Park in Jacksonville Beach. A long-time friend and fan of Dog Wood Park, Norma is thrilled to be spending her weekends with us!
Kelly is majoring in mathematics at UNF and works both at the park as well as serving as a private tutor for students ranging from high school to college upperclassmen. Kelly spent two years with the Flagler Humane Society and has a huge heart when it comes to 4-legged friends. Kelly also speaks fluent Polish, so feel free to say "cześć" to Kelly next time you see her.
